The Integrative Medicine Alliance had its
inception in early 1999 at a gathering called to explore the nature and
needs of complementary and alternative medicine practitioners in the
Longwood Medical Area of Boston, MA. Over 30 interested citizens and
healthcare practitioners attended that first meeting, quickly discovering
our common desire for an action-oriented group dedicated to furthering a
vision of change.
Since then, the IMA has distinguished itself as an independent, 501(c)(3) grassroots healthcare organization, welcoming all people who dream of a more collaborative, people-centered, and sustainable healthcare system.
